*PR Samples – I was sent these products for PR purposes in exchange for a review. This post was not sponsored and all opinions are honest and my own. Thank you to The Pip Box for collaborating with me!
A while ago I mused (I love that word) on Twitter about needing some more inspiration for blog content. A friend then tweeted back saying that I should try a beauty box subscription. I’d never tried one before but was intrigued by the prospected of purchasing beauty items that were pre-chosen for me and delivered to my house.
There are a lot of great boxes our there and I had some recommendations but since I’m going cruelty- free with my make up, I wanted to see if there were any beauty boxes out there who catered towards that. So, (longer ago than I would care to admit) I reached out to The Pip Box, a cruelty-free beauty subscription box. I asked them if they would be interested in collaborating with me and to my surprise, they said yes and sent me one of their spare May boxes.
I’m going to show you the products that came in this box, but in this post I also want to talk about whether or not I feel if a beauty box is worth it.
We are over halfway through 2017 now, whaaaat?! Where has the time gone? I just can’t get my head around it.
At the beginning of the year, I made a list of intentional goals and today I’m looking over them to see how I’m progressing. These goals were designed to give me purpose this year, particularly as I arrived in 2017 unemployed.
It would appear that I’ve dropped off the face of the blogosphere. Everything was going so well: I was finally getting a couple of collaborations, I went to a PR event, etc. and then I stopped. I stopped posting; I stopped Instagramming; I stopped tweeting.
Happy Friday! It’s been a while since I’ve posted some decent content on THJ. I’ve been thinking of ways to kickstart things up again and I’ve decided that I really want to bring more beauty posts to my blog. I enjoy reading recommendations on other people’s blogs and trying out new products. This is how I’ve discovered some of my beauty favourites!
And as some of you know, I’m converting to cruelty-free make up because I think it’s completely unacceptable to test cosmetics on animals and I want to support the more ethical brands. This means I’m up for trying new brands and products all the time!
So I want to start sharing some of my recommendations with you.
