Hello, everyone. It’s Monday!

Anyone else got a four day week thanks to the Easter weekend? I am beyond grateful that I’m in a job that means I have the national holidays off to spend time with my friends and family. And hasn’t the weather recently been lush? Apparently, it’s going to get colder so we’ve made the most of it. I even got burnt this past weekend.

A few weeks ago, I received a very exciting email.

I was lucky enough to be asked if I wanted to be on the Superdrug Beauty press list! Of course, I said yes! I absolutely love Superdrug as they stock a really wide range of cruelty-free products and I’m obsessed with beauty products. This was such an exciting opportunity and it was the first time a PR company has reached out to me. The reason they emailed me was because I posted on Instagram about their skincare brand that I recently tried. It’s SO cool that my hard work with taking good quality photos and writing content has paid off! I feel like I’ve finally made it as a blogger and I am so grateful.

My Skincare Routine | March 2017

My Skincare Routine | March 2017

I have always been blessed with good skin. While I have several other insecurities about my body, fortunately, my skin isn’t one of them. Over the years, I’ve had people telling me that I have such lovely, clear skin and I really don’t need to wear make up. Thank you for your compliment, and I whole heartedly mean that; I both agree and disagree.

While I am thankful that I have good skin, because I appreciate that not everyone does, there are some things I don’t like about it. Having good skin isn’t just about having little or no spots. There are other factors too which I feel are often overlooked by others.

Having said that, wearing make up more on a daily basis has started to affect my skin. More oils have appeared around my nose and forehead and wearing products will sometimes cause me to break out. This is why having a good skincare routine is more important than ever.

I’m Supporting These Cruelty-Free Make Up Brands In 2017

I made a vow last year to be more intentional and so I’ve started to be more intentional with my purchases. Last October, I shared why I’m changing my make up buying habits and why you should try cruelty-free too and now I’m going to be sharing some of my favourite brands and tell you why I’m supporting them this year.

I'm Supporting These Cruelty Free Brands in 2017

I have recently become so obsessed with learning how to do my own make up, especially as I’m doing my own (and probably my bridesmaids’) for my wedding next year. For someone who up until the middle of last year wore nothing but mascara, I have certainly come a long way. I’m really looking forward to discovering lots of cruelty-free brands this year, but I’ve put together a list of six of my favourites right now for you.

4 Reasons Why You Should Try Cruelty-Free

Hi friends!

It’s been a while since I wrote a real blog post, hasn’t it?

Since I’m getting married in less than two years and I really want to save money where I can, I have decided to learn how to do my own make up. That’s quite scary considering make up has never really been my thing. But since delving into the world of cosmetics, I have been so intrigued by different products and now I can’t get enough. In fact, October is a no spend month for me because I now cannot stop buying it! However, I was recently challenged on wearing make up from brands that test on animals, since I work with them every day. It’s a no brainer really when you think about it, so I decided to throw out or use up everything that I own that is not cruelty-free and start again.

Back in January, I decided to be more intentional and so this year I’ve been making more conscious choices and really evaluating that way that I live and come across. I have loved the swap so far and it’s really changed the way that I view make up. Today I’m going to share with you four reasons why I think you should try cruelty-free make up products.
