The Reason I Believe // A Worship Playlist

Hello friends, it’s been a while hasn’t it?

You might be thinking: what about the Four Week Blogging Challenge? Life got in the way, I’m sorry about that. If I’ve got time to get those out, I will, but at the moment, I have a lot of work and deadlines to get through. I’ve decided to take a different approach on the challenge anyway as I want to make each post ever-current. Instead of numbering each blog post, I’ll be taking the prompt for each day and turning it into a more accessible blog post. This will help me publish the missed posts a lot easier and making them more accessible and single standing posts. When I have time, I’ll be going back to revamp the ones I’ve posted so far.

Today’s prompt is: Put a playlist on shuffle; first ten songs that play?

The Reason I Believe

I thought I would take this opportunity to share some of my favourite worship songs with you. All of them feature on a Spotify Playlist that I have made and will be including at the bottom of this post.

What I love the most about worship songs are their lyrics. Each of these songs have meanings behind them that are so beautiful and powerful. I’ve chosen each of these songs because they have all spoken to me in the past year, I would love for you to hear them.

One

The Art of Celebration // Rend Collective

Two

Here Now // Hillsong Worship

Three

It Is Well // Bethel Music

Four

End of Me // Tom Smith

Five

Pocketful of Faith // Tim Hughes

Six

Hold On // Beth Croft

Seven

Every Giant Will Fall // Rend Collective

Eight

Give Me Faith // Elevation Worship

Nine

You Make Me Brave // Bethel Music

Ten

Awesome God // Hillsong United

I encourage you to check these out and let me know what you think! Do you have any worship favourites? I’m always looking for new songs to add to my list. Leave your recommendations in the comments!

  • This is great! I will have to check some of these out for sure 🙂 I don’t think I have any worship favorites but who knows maybe I will soon!

  • Great list. I am not a Bethel fan at all (strictly because a sad majority of their teachings aren’t biblical – they have good music, but I won’t listen because of incorrect teachings). I love Rend Collective, Hillsong, and Elevation though! Ascend The Hill is a huge favorite of mine. If you ever need suggestions – I’m your lady. 😉

    • Oh really? I had no idea. That makes me sad. I remember when I started out listening to Christian music before I became a Christian and really loved Hillsong. Joel told me about one of their songs, ‘Healer’, that was written to raise money for one of their pastors who was dying (I think he said he had cancer) but it turned out he lied and was using the money to fund his porn addiction instead of treatment. I felt so cheated that I won’t listen to that song anymore. I love Rend’s new album in particular; they visit a Christian festival I’ve been going to for a few years now and I love their community worship. I’m going to check out Ascend The Hill right now, thanks!

  • Love! I don’t listen to a lot of worship music but I feel like maybe I should start! I’ll have to check some of these out!

    • I loooove worship music! I feel in love with it long before I became a Christian and it turned out to be such an important part of my journey! If you stumble across any you like, let me know!

Great list. I don’t listen to much worship music but this seems like a beginner friendly list =)

    • I love worship music and there’s so much variety out there! There’s definitely something for everyone.

‘It Is Well’ always gives me chills. I’m such a lover of hymns. This is an awesome list, Emma!

  • I have never really listened to worship songs but your list seems to be a great start!
And yes, life gets in the way of our blogging challenges and we just have to do what we can do the best in the time we have 🙂
