It’s been a while since my last blog post (actually pretty much a year!) where I mentioned all the exciting things happening this year, and then promptly disappeared into oblivion. Truth is, since that post, I hit the ground running and never really stopped to take a breather. I’ve achieved and experienced a lot this year and I’m leaving 2018 an entirely different person to the woman who entered it.
I am so excited to say that we are now less than one year to our wedding! Woohoo! In fact, it’s less than 10 months until the big day.
I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while so I’m finally jumping on to give an update of where we are now with the planning and how much we have left to do. It feels like forever since Joel got down on one knee on a rainy Sunday in the Peak District and asked me to marry him.
Life has been going at a whirlwind speed lately and I barely feel like I’ve had time to catch my breath. I have no idea how busy this year was going to be when 2017 rolled in 4 months ago. My last Currently post was only two months ago but I feel like a lot has happened since. I have a lot to report.
On 1st May 2016, Joel came to visit me at university for the bank holiday weekend to go hiking in the Peak District. The weather forecast was not great – rain all day – so as you can imagine, I was not looking forward to it. I told Joel that if this trip was going to be anything like our bike ride the previous year, this weekend was going to involve a lot of tears. He didn’t deny it.
