My 2017 Highlights

And then just like that, 2017 was almost over…

In light of a new chapter starting tomorrow, I wanted to take this opportunity to look back at some of this year’s highlights for my last post of 2017.

2017 HIGHLIGHTS

  1. One of my closest friends got married 22nd July 2017 and I was her Maid of Honour.
  2. I had two job interviews.
  3. I got a job doing something I love.
  4. We booked our honeymoon.
  5. Joel and I bought a new car.
  6. I overcame my fear of needles and was brave enough to take a blood test.
  7. I added a new little friend to my zoo, Ollie the gerbil.
  8. For my birthday we stayed in the Peak District and it’s become one of my favourite places.
  9. I was invited to my first PR event by Superdrug which was an incredible opportunity.
  10. I had so many good food adventures this year.
  11. We became members of the English Heritage and Wrest Park has also become one of my favourite places.
  12. A weekend trip to Wales with friends where we DIY costeered and jumped off a ledge in the Blue Lagoon. It was exhilarating. 
  13. A day trip to Manchester to visit the Christmas markets.
  14. One last visit to my university house in July for my friend’s hen party.
  15. My uni friends came to visit me for my birthday and we went out for a meal.
  16. A trip to Southwold seaside with Joel.
  17. Youth leading at Soul Survivor for the first time.
  18. Experiencing the youth of our church floruish spiritually.
  19. I visited the cafe in Sherlock (Speedy’s) and the British Library when I had a lone trip to London.
  20. Season 4 of Sherlock.
  21. I became confident with my body shape for what felt like the first time ever, bought and wore 2 bodycon dresses.
  22. The discovery of podcasts and in particular My Dad Wrote a Porno and My Favorite Murder.
  23. Joel and I decided to start sponsoring a child through Compassion.
  24. Found so many new bloggers to read and follow including Sophie Cliff and Notes From Joanna.
  25. Collaborating with a great cruelty-free brand, The Pip Box.
  26. Discovering new favourites on Netflix. Have you watched Riverdale yet? Why not?
  27. Read a book that reminded me off my love of reading.
  28. Went to my first ever work Christmas party and it was a lot of fun.
  29. I had my first review at work, and it was really positive.
  30. Finalising lots of wedding plans.
  31. Ice-skating at Frosts Garden Centre.
  32. Found a photography editing stlye that I love and is just so me.
  33. Found out that I was neither diary intolerant nor gluten intolerant so pizza can still be my friend.
  34. Saw The Greatest Showman at the cinema not knowing it was a musical and it was like a late Christmas present because the soundtrack is beyond fantastic.
