Last year I started a series here called #FearlessFriday and it remains to this day to be one of my favourite things I’ve done on this blog. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s where people have been sharing their testimonies of salvation, redemption and grace. As Christians, we should be excited to share our stories of how God moves in our lives but I’ve found that we rarely are. So I decided to start this series, and challenge my Christian friends to be fearless, to open up and become vulnerable to hopefully encourage someone else.
It’s been a while but today I’m absolutely thrilled to have Kaitlan share her testimony. Kaitlan is part of my church family and knew me before I decided to give my life to Jesus so I hope that she can testify to how much I’ve changed over the past few years! As I’ve gone from unbeliever to youth leader (yes, God can change the most unlikely hearts) it’s been a joy seeing Kaitlan growing in her faith too.
She’s going to share how God has taught her to let go of the things in life holding her back and allow Him to work in her.

Hello, everyone. It’s Monday!
Anyone else got a four day week thanks to the Easter weekend? I am beyond grateful that I’m in a job that means I have the national holidays off to spend time with my friends and family. And hasn’t the weather recently been lush? Apparently, it’s going to get colder so we’ve made the most of it. I even got burnt this past weekend.
A few weeks ago, I received a very exciting email.
I was lucky enough to be asked if I wanted to be on the Superdrug Beauty press list! Of course, I said yes! I absolutely love Superdrug as they stock a really wide range of cruelty-free products and I’m obsessed with beauty products. This was such an exciting opportunity and it was the first time a PR company has reached out to me. The reason they emailed me was because I posted on Instagram about their skincare brand that I recently tried. It’s SO cool that my hard work with taking good quality photos and writing content has paid off! I feel like I’ve finally made it as a blogger and I am so grateful.
I didn’t make goals for March, but I am making goals for April. With starting my new job, I’ll need to set myself intentional goals if I want to get anything done. I’m being kept very busy so I’m pretty tired in the evenings, but I still want to go for it with my blog. There’s also a few other things I really want to start doing, so it’s important that I make time for everything.
So let’s jump in and review my February goals and then see what April has in store for me.
Good morning, everyone. Happy Monday. It’s a new season as Spring rolls in and today I start my new job.
You are probably well aware that I left my job in retail in December to look for something more closely related to my degree and my interests. What I learned in retail was that it was not for me. I gained so many skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership but it was time for me to move on.
Hello, friends! How are we doing? All I can say is that I’m glad it’s March – even if it’s over half way through. I don’t know about you, but I’m finding that this year is going so quickly! It’s been long overdue since I have done a Currently post, so I’m here to give you a little update on what’s going on in my life right now.
Worrying is my biggest weakness. I can be so insecure about everything. Not to mention, it’s very consuming.
I can’t even think of how many sleepless nights I’ve had, my brain going into overload and meltdown when I’m thinking of the ‘what ifs’. I’ve worried about school and university; I’ve worried about tests, interviews and deadlines; I’ve worried about confrontations with family and friends. Any potential or actual problem I’ve had, you can bet I’ve worried about it.
This post was not sponsored. I bought all of these products with my own money and all reviews are my own!
I have always been blessed with good skin. While I have several other insecurities about my body, fortunately, my skin isn’t one of them. Over the years, I’ve had people telling me that I have such lovely, clear skin and I really don’t need to wear make up. Thank you for your compliment, and I whole heartedly mean that; I both agree and disagree.
While I am thankful that I have good skin, because I appreciate that not everyone does, there are some things I don’t like about it. Having good skin isn’t just about having little or no spots. There are other factors too which I feel are often overlooked by others.
Having said that, wearing make up more on a daily basis has started to affect my skin. More oils have appeared around my nose and forehead and wearing products will sometimes cause me to break out. This is why having a good skincare routine is more important than ever.
If you’ve kept up with me on social media this past month – and if you’re still around, thank you! – you’ll know that February was not the most positive month for me. While I try to keep a happy vibe on my blog and social media channels, it’s really important to be aware of the fact that life is not like that 100% of the time. I want to be as authentic as possible but at the same time, I’ve made it my mission to prove that social media doesn’t have to be a negative place. I’m justing keeping it real.
With all that in mind, it’s time for my February self-care checklist. I made a checklist last month to make sure that I’m keeping my emotional and mental well-being intact. So, let’s see how I did this month.
I love sharing ways that we can all be a little bit more intentional and positive with our lives on my blog, and I thoroughly enjoyed writing 10 Things To Do When You’re Feeling Down. Sometimes, when you’re feeling a bit blue, you can have trouble thinking of something to do to make yourself feel better. I’m here to help. So if you read the first 10 things to do and they didn’t inspire you, I’m back today with 10 more things you can do to cheer yourself up. You lucky things!
Before I was confident enough to use my own images, I needed access to good quality free stock photos for my blog graphics. From time to time I need inspiration for my own photography, and I still turn to stock images, drawing influences from ones I’ve seen. I searched high and low, compiled a huge list which has been sitting in my bookmarks forever, and have rounded up ten of my favourite sites to source images for you today.
